Tommy Farmer

I've been particularly impressed recently with the work of Tommy Farmer, another local photographer, so I'd recommend a look at his Farnborough Studio Photography website.

IE7 favicons

Why does Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 have such a scrappy tab bar? On the PLUS side IE7's tab bar does use little screen real estate as they squeeze in a lot of buttons (including the Favourites, Quick Tabs, Home, Feeds, Print, Page and Tools buttons) but on the other hand I'm not happy that if a site has no favicon IE7 insists on displaying the IE7 icon.

Nice try, Microsoft, but increased exposure to the IE7 icon will not make me a more regular user of your browser (I'm only using IE7 as my backup pony whilst my trusty FireFox does some work via Privoxy)

2020 photographic

I've recently been using my local Farnborough photographic services at 2020 Prolab and I have to say I'm very impressed.

Not only are their photographic services very swift and of excellent quality but they're also very amicable and always happy to offer good advice. On top of that their prices are always very competitive.

Apache deny IP

Somebody stealing your content? Scraping your site and palming off your hard work as theirs?

Use Apache to ban their IP address using your .htaccess file...
order allow,deny
allow from all
deny from 555.555.555.555
Obviously you need to replace 555.555.555.555 with the full IP address ;)

You *can* deny access by domain but you'll be making Apache work harder by having to perform a DNS lookup before knowing which IP address/IP block to deny, so go for the full IP address every time.
