Hello, my name is Paul, and I’ve designed, built, maintained and promoted 100s of websites in my long career. From the one-person local business to national charities, and global corporations, I bring big business technical, commercial and marketing experience to smaller websites.

How much does a website cost?
The business websites we build typically range between £1,000 and £10,000, dependent on the scope and complexity. We give you a fixed price before any work starts.
The variation in price is based upon the scope, not the hours. So for example, a five-page “brochure” site for a local tradesperson is at the lower end. If you want ecommerce, a booking system, calculators, multiple locations or a large content migration, then that complexity needs to be considered. Our ecommerce projects typically start around £5,000.
To be clear from the outset, there are three things I won’t do: quote before I understand what you actually need, charge by the hour so the bill is a surprise, or tie you into a long contract. You’ll get a written proposal with a fixed figure, a payment schedule and a delivery date.
Always let us know your budget from the outset. We can build phased designs so that you can experience “basic” performance before we move onto the next stage of your project.
Are there any "hidden costs" in your websites?
No, we’re open about what your business website needs and what you’re actually paying for. Here’s a typical list of what we provide for your website;
Domain name: From around £25 a year we not only secure and manage your domain name but we provide extra levels of service and security that you just don’t get with “free” or low-cost domain name providers.
Hosting: A place on a performance webserver starts at £120 a year for a simple small business site and increases dependent on size, the amount of traffic and the functions your website requires.
SSL certificate: Our security certs, the ones that put HTTPS at the front of your web address and gives users confidence and protection, are free.
Business email: We provide professional email addresses on dedicated email servers from £5 per user per month.
Premium plugins and licences: A typical WordPress website uses a handful of plugins, some requiring premium annual licences. These usually include forms, backups, SEO tools, professional security, and a page builder licence. Costs vary from around £60 per year.
Updates and maintenance: Keeping a WordPress website updated and secure involves regular monthly, weekly, or daily checks. Automating these is an option but it is always safer to have an experience web manager manually inspect your website. Prices start at £120 a year.
Backups and security monitoring: Ask us about regular website backups and security monitoring. The price depends on the level of risk you need to mitigate.
Content: If you launch your website and don’t add content regularly, it can stagnate and the competition often beat you. We craft original, human-written content that resonates with your audience, starting at £60 per month.
Stock photography or licensing: Free libraries are available but images are limited and often used elsewhere, so we can search, secure, and use unique imagery for you. POA.
Changes after launch: Beyond anything signed off at launch, updates and changes can be part of a maintenance package, giving you peace of mind that your website gets regular attention and updates.
END NOTE: We put all of this in writing before we start, including the annual running costs, so you can see the true totally cost of ownership rather than just the build price.
Will I deal with you directly, or an account manager?"

At many agencies, your project sits with an account manager and is then shared amongst one or more employees in a clear division of labour. The graphics, website design, SEO, PPC, social media, and copywriting are often completed in “silos” and complex interconnected tasks are not always correctly joined up.
We’ve been building websites since 1998 and running 22i from a Farnborough studio since 2000, and we’ve delivered well over 100 sites in that time. You get that experience directly, on every conversation and every decision.
It also means we explain any jargon, aren’t trying to “lock you in”, and you get a straight answer when things are complex. If a bigger team genuinely suits your project better, we’ll tell you that too.
